I am a self-taught programming student focusing primarily on Javascript and nodeJS with other bits of technology sprinkled in here and there. Before my plunge into coding I was working on NASA's Cassini Mission to Saturn, a very exciting job that introduced me to many Sys. Admins and Software Engineers who inspired me to pursue a career in Software Development. When I am not studying I am usually climbing, fishing, cooking or fixing broken cars/motorcycles.

BA •2007
Core curriculum for Pre-Pharmacy/Neuroscience program. General study of Biology, Physics, Math, Chemistry, and my favorite, Organic Chemistry. Though I didn't know it at the time, Organic Chemistry involves a very similar skill set as software engineering. Many different problems to solve and many different ways to solve the problems.
C.S., Javascript, NodeJS, Full Stack Web Development •2017 - Now
Around early 2017 while working side by side with many other software engineers, I decided to start a self study of programming. I began with the Harvard EDX CS50 class. After that class I knew I wanted to pursue software engineering. I learned what I could from co-workers and upon mission end I started taking online courses through Udemy and completing personal projects. I continue to take courses daily in hopes of improving my skills as a software developer.
Deputy Director Cassini Imaging Team (ISSOPS)• Aug. 2011 - July 2019 (End of Mission)
An exciting position working on one of NASA's most successful and longest running missions. I was in charge of processing images for web releases, coordinating web projects between JPL and ISSOPS and a project manager for the imaging team, managing up to 10 scientists and software engineers who were developing mission critical software/databases and pointing designs for the spacecraft. In this position I became familiar with Linux cmd line navigation, server maintenance and setup, Javascript, PHP, MySQL navigation, HTML/CSS and IDL.
Chemistry Supervisor• 2010 - 2011
Supervised 18+ employees in one of the world's busiest WADA-accredited laboratories. Learned how to manage people more effectively and how work within a large ecosystem consisting of many departments and many different procedures. Lived in a big city, far away from mountains and learned not to live in a big city, far away from mountains.
Some of the skills I have picked up during previous employment
